The problems we face as an organisation or a nation is not only with leaders but with those who surround them. A leader’s reign is made or marred depending on who his/her assistants, advisers are. Rehoboam, a king of Israel, at the beginning of his reign was approached by the people to tell them what his reign would look like. Rehoboam consulted the elders that sat before his father Solomon as mentees/assistants/advisers and they counselled him, having learnt wisdom for many years before his father.
