I woke up this morning to a Whatsapp message from a cousin getting married tomorrow in a far away land. I'm happy for her. As we started chatting, I reckoned there were some prayers bubbling in my heart for her. So I started releasing them and at the end of the prayers I wrote In Jesus Name! Then and then my flash point began. In Jesus Name! Why didn't I end it with IJN? Do not say it does not concern you. No matter what you are and where you are. The decisions, policies and laws made by our leaders stand to affect us positively or negatively - whether as an individual or a family or friends or businesses.
We are urged admonished to make "petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered on behalf of all men for kings (presidents, CEOs, family heads etc) and all those in authority, so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. Why Our Leaders Need Our Prayers
The hearts of kings (presidents, CEOs, MDs, rulers etc) are in the hands of the Lord and He turns it wherever He wants. The flesh (i.e. the natural will of man, the selfish nature of man etc) always fights against the spirit (the divine will of God, the right and godly way of life etc). But there are other people that compete with God to steer the hearts of the leaders in their own selfish ways. God Plans Change of Heart For Leaders
God chose Saul for Israel. He sent down His Spirit upon Saul to change him into another man. "Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them (sons of prophets) and be turned into another man...So it was, when he had turned his back to go from Samuel (the prophet) that God gave him (Saul) another heart..." 1 Samuel 10: 6 & 9. From above, God makes provision to mold the heart of a leader into a good person that would serve His people. But many do not take the grace for a change of heart. The forget the experiences they have been through in the past which God uses to mold their hearts.
