I know you might say, “I’ve tried so much, but the pain just won’t go away.” You long—perhaps for a minute, an hour, or even a day—for respite from the pounding ache in your heart. You wonder, How did I get into this? How, in all rationality, did I allow myself to walk into this with eyes wide open?
Blame. Regret. Pain and anguish. It feels like a rabbit hole—the more you think about it, the deeper the hole seems to get.
But I have good news for you. Yes, good news. Today, you can come out of that situation. How? There is divine healing from God.
As an undergraduate, I walked into a small gathering of people, all serenaded by melodious worship. I came in carrying the heavy burden of the future. My university days were almost over, and the stark reality of life after graduation loomed large. With the expectations of family and friends growing—hoping I would soon “make it,” start earning money, shower them with gifts, and enjoy the good things of life—I felt overwhelmed.
Education, they say, should change one’s socioeconomic status. And that’s true. But I wasn’t excited about the degree I was about to earn. Instead, I was clouded by fear: fear of not landing the right job, fear of not even getting the chance to compete on merit. It felt—and still feels—as though the socially and politically connected get the prominent roles before opportunities trickle down the path of merit. My heart bled with pain and regret.

Then, in the midst of my anguish, the preacher blasted through the microphone: “Let it go. Let GOD!”
I thought to myself: How? What are you talking about? My reality isn’t yours. You’re well connected. I’m not. You’re established. I’m not.
As those thoughts raced through my mind, the pain grew deeper, and my heart pounded even faster.
But amid the turmoil, my heart caught hold of a few scriptures the preacher kept quoting:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. … For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
— Matthew 11:28, 30 (NKJV)
“Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?”
— Jeremiah 8:22 (NIV)

Those verses pierced my soul. With tears rolling down my cheeks, I just wanted to try this Invisible Voice behind the scriptures. As the saying goes, “He who is down needs fear no fall.” There had to be something real behind those promises.
So I made a decision: Let me give it all to Him. Let me roll over my heart’s burdens to Him. I’m tired of carrying them alone.
As I contemplated this, tears flowed profusely. The conviction to hand everything over to the Invisible Voice grew stronger. Like a child kneeling before his father, I saw myself bowing before a Man in white robes. Crying with so much pain, I asked Him to take away my fears and troubles. I pleaded with Him to give me what He has in exchange for my sorrow.
Gradually, I felt the well of pain begin to dry up. Like the dawning of a new day, a gentle breeze blew into my heart, sweeping away the debris of heavy emotion. Like cold water poured upon a thirsty soul, I felt something fresh—soothing and calm. My soul was being rejuvenated. And all this happened in just a few minutes.
By the time I raised my head, I had journeyed from pain to joy. I had traded my grief for His peace. There was a calm assurance in my heart whispering, “It is well now.” I walked out of that auditorium touched—healed and saved. All fears were gone. He set the solitary in families. Psalm 68:6 (NKJV). The fear of the unknown had no basis in the Word of God. His promises are Yes and Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). His Word delivers both our present and our future (Psalm 107:20). The greatest connection is knowing the Most High, for He positions us, causes His favor to distinguish us, and enables us to reign in life through His Son, Jesus.
“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”
— Romans 5:17

Countless testimonies have followed since the day I handed my pain and fear over to Him.
The same Jesus who did it for me over three decades ago is still the same today and forever:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
— Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV)
He didn’t do it for just one person. He has done it for many—and He’s still doing it today.
No matter how deep the pain or hurt is, you can experience His healing power too—right now. I want you to know: He loves you. He is not the one who inflicted the pain, but He can heal you from it.
He is the Healer.
“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
— Acts 10:38 (NKJV)
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
— Psalm 147:3 (NIV)
Give Him your pain. Give Him your tears. Give Him your situation. I know it hurts deeply, but step forward in faith. Come to Jesus, the Healer, and let Him heal you right now.
He still says:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)
He still forgives, restores, and heals. Will you hand it over to Him now?
Oh, I know He can do it for you right now.

Lean forward to Him. Speak to Him. Say:
Lord Jesus, I come to You today—broken and devastated. But I believe in Your healing power. You are full of mercy and compassion. I need You to come into my heart and heal me of this excruciating pain and these circumstances. Heal me, Lord! In Your name, Jesus, I receive Your divine healing into my body, soul, and spirit. I am whole because You are whole. Have mercy on me. Lord Jesus, I receive my healing from You, and I am completely whole. This condition—this circumstance—will never remain with me again, in the name of Jesus. Thank You, Father, for I have asked in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Thank You because You have heard me. Amen!
I believe that with this heartfelt confession, the Lord Jesus has heard you and has healed you. Divine healing is supernatural. Since you have asked Him, the healing has already come. Keep thanking Him. Don’t worry about whether you still feel anything or not—believe me, you are already healed. Keep giving Him thanks.
Glory be to God!
