One day, I walked down a street, musing about life. Why the troubles and chaos? Theories and facts, lies and truth—so much confusion. A gentle voice said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
“I desire to be filled with You, Lord!” I replied inwardly. “I want nothing but You. Nothing satisfies like You, my Lord, my Father. Fill me continually.”
Alas, it was a dream! I rose from my bed, reflecting on this dream. How can I be filled with Him daily? I pondered. That was many years ago, but the Lord Jesus’ words still echo in me today, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). Apostle Paul echoed this, saying, “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18).

How can you be filled with His Spirit? Like I mentioned earlier, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness.” How do we hunger and thirst after righteousness? Apostle Paul advises in Colossians 3:2, “Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things.”
Similarly, Jesus instructed in Matthew 6:19-21, “Do not store up treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and thieves break in and steal; but store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
What are these treasures? Paul explains in Colossians 3:1-2, “Since you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things.”
Our treasures are in Christ Jesus. And He has put them in us. How do we know them to the extent we can gaze upon them? We need to seek His face in place of prayers, worship and study of the word in order to uncover the treasures that He has put in us. We must diligently seek Him in faith. Paul said, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). There are good works that God has ordained for us to walk in—ministries to fulfill, professions to pursue for the betterment of humanity, and talents to develop and use to bless others. Have you discovered them?
Friends, through the Lord Jesus, we are called to good works prepared before birth, and now we must live them out. These good works are in Christ Jesus—heavenly callings and divine assignments, God’s purpose for us. These good works are inside us as treasures in our earthen vessels (as in 2 Corinthians 4:7). He has put them inside us. They are there! His calling pulls you within. It conditions you in a particular way.
But, we must diligently seek Him, find His purpose for our lives and passionately pursue them. We must hunger and thirst for His revelation to walk in our destiny. Oh, how we must hunger for Him! He redeemed us, saved us, and brought us into glory. His Father sent His Spirit to connect us. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit dwell within us, revealing Jesus’ will for us.

How deeply do you desire Him? How much do you separate yourself to seek Him? How fully do you pour yourself out in worship, study His word, or sit quietly before Him in adoration? How much of Him do you want? Little, less, or just enough? How hungry are you for the Most High God? How deeply do you desire Him in everything you do? How much?
The world clamors and chokes, yet His grace abounds even more abundantly. Regardless of what we face, His hand remains upon us for good, wherever we find ourselves. Consider Daniel, who, despite being a slave in Babylonian captivity, intentionally sought God’s presence and will. He experienced divine revelations, walked in reverence and wisdom, and God elevated him. If Daniel achieved this in captivity, how much more can you and I accomplish in freedom under the new covenant? Will you choose today to seek Him earnestly and discover His purpose for your life?
Even when you have discerned His purpose, will you press forward? Will you set your affections on the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?

Regardless of scientific or social evidence, we trust the spiritual evidence of the invisible God, who needs no proof. He cannot lie. He spoke creation into existence, defying theories and hypotheses. He is Almighty God! He suspended gravity, walked on water, and healed the sick, the lepers, the blind, and the lame. He defied logic by raising the dead. Imagine the astonishment of Roman doctors witnessing such miracles. He confounded the wise and changed worldly theories and principles. He was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power from His Father, and went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God, His Father, was with Him (Acts 10:38). He is with us as well!
We have received this same Spirit. In this season, we are called to declare His praises, representing His Kingdom as ambassadors of His Son on earth.
His words are our treasures. We must hunger for His words to fill us. We must treasure every moment to worship Him who reigns forever, surrounded by innumerable angels, the Creator of all things, uncreated and eternal. Glory to the Father who lives forever. Through Him, we live, move, and have our being. My question is: How deeply do you desire Him each day, each month, each year?
Friends, don’t waste your time on earth. Discover what He has called you to do and do it. You might ask, “How?”

Go to Him in prayer. By faith, ask Him to reveal your life’s purpose. Even if you don’t immediately hear or see clearly, commit yourself to regular study about Jesus and the Father. Talk to Him. Ask the Holy Spirit for a greater revelation of the Father and Jesus. Remain consistent. God delights in those who diligently seek Him through prayer and worship. While you can present your needs, often approach Him simply to know Him better. Gradually, the Holy Spirit will reveal more of the Father and His Son, Jesus, through His Word. As your desire grows, you will cherish private moments with Him. The Holy Spirit will guide you toward your destiny, leading you to people and places aligned with your purpose. Stay faithful in prayer and worship. Step by step, He will lead you into His perfect will.
Lastly, desire the Holy Spirit to fill you daily for His glory.
