Well, I know you are puzzled by the topic. You probably muttered to yourself, “What type of statement is that?” But don’t worry, there is something serious we need to talk about here. As long as you are reading this, you are physically alive. But I’m not referring to just a physical life, but to another life. I’m referring to a particular kind of life that never ends even if you die physically on earth.
There is something that keeps human beings alive on this earth. It’s similar to a car moving around because of the power from a battery. When the battery is dead, the car stops moving until you put another battery in it. Man keeps breathing and living on this earth because there is a spirit in man. Man has a spirit and soul in a physical body; moving about in life doing his or her own things. Maybe mindful of end of life or not.
At some point in our lives, we did not know anything. But as we grew gradually, we became conscious of our environment. Did you ever wonder, “What am I doing here?
What is this thing in the sky? Who put it there? What is this flesh on me?”
You just came to a realization that you are a human being, put on the earth and born of a mother (you never witnessed that anyway) and you have a father. You became conscious of yourself as a human being. The consciousness starts. You grow into it. You become aware of your environment and everything around you. You start learning, interacting and figuring things out. You grow inquisitive day by day. You begin to grow and become aware of something called The Future. What and how shall I be when I grow up? Too big for your infant mind to fathom how it shall be. The struggle starts.

You realize there is a Deity called God! As you grew up, you heard (still hear) it everywhere. As days and years pass by, you began to realize that you are gradually aging. You become aware of the fact that you will leave the earth one day, irrespective of the amount of wealth you have acquired or the degree of poverty you have experienced. No matter how famous or infamous you are. No matter how successful you are. Or how many failures you have experienced in life. Regardless of the good or bad life you live, you realize that everybody dies. No one has control over it. It awaits you too!
I once spoke to a young man that believed so much in this physical life and living it to the fullest. Like some say, “Let me enjoy my life please!” I asked this young guy, “What happens to a man that is seen yesterday walking up and down, jumping and running, but found dead the next day? His body lying flat and motionless before people! What is the difference between him yesterday, who was full of life, and him the next day, who was motionless? What has left him? Where has he gone to? Is there any hope for him in the afterlife?” The young man I was talking to remained speechless.

My questions for you are: where will your spirit and soul go after death? For how long? And how will you fare after life? Will it be in the presence of your Maker? Or somewhere else? Or do you think or believe you are going to disappear into nothing? You might say you don’t know. Look deep inside you. Where will eternity be for you?
If you are unsure of where you will spend afterlife, it must be because you are sincere. You are being honest with yourself. You are not alone in your quandary, as you consider everything you have done to date and believe you will not receive a favorable judgment or that you require more time. Even if you are not as awful as others, you feel insufficient.

There is a deep desire in your heart for a Supreme Being to help you and set things right. Deep appeals to deep. You’ve hoped for supernatural intervention from somewhere in your worst moments. You’ve looked up, hoping the Invisible Being up there can help you. You may have even strayed into the realms of gods you are unfamiliar with.
Where will you go after death, when the light fades and the body becomes lifeless? I met a couple of people while they were nearing the end of their life, and I recall their final moments vividly. Let me share with you one encounter of such.

Last Breath
One fateful evening, a very influential lady in the city where we lived called our pastor to inform him of his ailing old father, who was suffering from an unknown illness at a prestigious hospital. She had asked that a few members of our pastor’s prayer team come and pray for him.
At about 7p.m. that day, we set out to go and pray for him. What was the prayer point? What condition were we to face at the hospital? We weren’t told the condition of the illness, nor the prayer point. That puzzled me. I checked with my friend to be sure he heard accurately. His response was the same. That piqued my interest. Were we going to a funeral service? Please, God! I had no idea how to perform one and was not prepared to learn one.
We finally arrived at the hospital. On entering, we realized he was a very influential man from an upper strata of society. We got into his private ward, and observed the condition looked hopeless – almost a lifeless situation but he wasn’t dead.

There was a sense of foreboding in the air. It was dark, with chilly death omens lurking around. We found strength in the Word of God. We chose to give thanks to God while trying to figure out how to enter the spirit (please don’t laugh). We started praying, thanking God for his healing. Thanking God for a wonderful life. How did we start praying like that? I noticed a sudden warmth throughout the room, and the supposedly motionless man began to twist on the bed. I’m not suggesting he was resurrected then. No, he wasn’t gone. Something was happening to him.
He began to toss and flip on his bed. Your guess is as good as mine – we sensed God’s power stirring him up. I sensed the old man had only a short time left on this planet. I was saddened because this was a man of renown who had accomplished so much in life and received so many awards, yet gripped by death and now slowly slipping into the other realm.
Inside, I grew depressed. My heart speaks louder than my mouth. I said to myself, “Lord, What do we do for him?” I felt impatient with the passing of time and suggested to my friend that we tell him about Jesus.
We came closer to his bedside and began to declare the Word of God to him, proclaiming Jesus and His words. And the old man started saying what we were saying. With the strength building on him, he muttered the words loudly enough. The icy, awful omen faded away gradually. He warmed up and his face brightened up.
We could see relief on his face. As we left him with a warm smile, I had no doubt in my mind that he was healed. He expressed his gratitude to us. That night, I sensed he received Jesus into his heart.

A few days later, the pastor called to inform us that Papa had died. I was astounded! Sad! I withdrew into a quiet room and meditated about all that had transpired the night we were with Papa. I reflected on the entire scene, Was that why his daughter asked for prayers? Was it his last chance to make amends with his Creator? Was that a triumphant exit? That day, did he accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour? Did he really mean what he said?
There was an assurance that dropped in my heart that he confessed Jesus as his Lord and Saviour for the scripture says in 1 Corinthians 12:3 (NLT) “no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.”
I clung to the happy hope that he reconciled with His Creator and embraced Jesus as his Lord and Saviour before death took him away. I couldn’t question God why he hadn’t been cured, but I was enraged at the man’s helplessness in the grasp of death.
I know that we will all return to the One Deity who is not only holy but also righteous. Too holy to behold sins, otherwise, He would be like us. His Eyes are too holy to behold iniquities. But why is mankind not rushing to that God? What made mankind to stray away from Him, making comeback difficult for many?

Is There Hope for Me?
Let’s start from the beginning. Satan tricked the first man and woman and altered the direction of human history. He turned (and continues to turn) men and women away from God. Satan still enters many people’s lives to steal, kill, and destroy. Has he cheated you? Is he responsible for the death of your dream, your career, your relationship, your joy, your loved ones, and so on? Has he damaged what you treasure the most? Or is he still attempting to steal, kill, and destroy you? But I have good news for you – Jesus Christ came that you may have life (that is, eternal life) and have it more abundantly. John 10:10. He came so that you can triumph over Satan and his wiles.
Perhaps you have done everything possible to make things right with God, but you continue to sink deeper and deeper into despair. And you abandon your efforts. You simply blend in. “If it’s church, we’ll go right now. There’s no problem with that,” you say. It is more than that, my friend. Life can’t continue like this. It is dangerous! You need to come back to God. You need to ask yourself, “Where will I spend my eternity?” We asked this question in the last chapter and while some enthusiastically responded with a “Yes of course!”, some weren’t as certain.

At this point, if you are not, you need to come to the Lord Jesus. He is the Only Way to God the Father. He is the Only One that can give you that eternal life that would secure your afterlife in Him and allow Him to lead you in life. Don’t pass through life not knowing Him. It is dangerous. You need to make up with God. You need to accept Jesus into your life.
Jesus said in John 3:5 (NKJV), “Except a man or woman be born again, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
But how can a man be born again? Well, friends, it is simple. I will put you through. After the fall of mankind from the presence of the Almighty God, He sent Jesus to the earth to reconcile mankind to God.
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
He came thousands of years ago to reconcile us with God and become His children, so that we can escape eternal judgment. He revealed the Father to us. He lived on the earth but never sinned. He was anointed with the Holy Spirit by the Father and went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil because God was with Him: Acts 10:38. He went about teaching and preaching about the kingdom of God, and healing all that were bound by Satan.
The One (Jesus) without sin was arrested, beaten, stripped naked, and crucified on the cross. While dying, He cried out loud,
“Father forgive them for they know not what they are doing.”Luke 23:34.
On that tragic day, the Lord Jesus was dragged through the darkest street leading to death. He sinned in no way or form, but on a mission to redeem mankind. He was named and shamed. On the way to cross, he was battered beyond recognition. If there were sins on Him, the torment would have been justified. But He had none. The Father looked down upon the earth and was satisfied with the claim of justice on Him. His form was marred. Only a sinner should have been brutalized like this. He wasn’t one, but He was made a sin for us, that anyone that believes in Him shall become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
He was doomed by earthly rulers, that you and I may not be doomed eternally! Like a sheep before the shearer, He was led to the cross at Golgotha.
“He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth.”Isaiah 53:7 (NKJV).
He was condemned to death. He did not fight back. He accepted the claims of justice for what He didn’t do. He died not because He deserved it. But for a just cause. His body gave way. It could no longer house His spirit. He gave up the ghost, and descended to hell.
THE DESCENT TO HELL
Do you think it ended there? No, it did not. The second phase continued beneath the earth – right in Hell. The demons were jeering, rejoicing that they had gotten the One that troubled them on earth. The coven of highest-ranking Satanic beings ascended from the deepest pit of hell to meet Him that was descending to them. The council of wickedness in the heavenlies flew down to witness their ‘triumph’ over Him that had just tormented them non-stop on earth. They had ‘conquered’ the biggest culprit. Little did they know! I say again, little did they know.

The second punishment began because they found on Him curses, sins, sickness, diseases, and poverty. They jeered and roared in victory! They roared with great joy. They flapped their wings and a great tumult of sound came out of them. They gazed upon Him who tormented them on earth and expelled them from every man’s body; that healed the sick, raised the dead, and went about doing good. The memory of what He did triggered them. They neighed at Him in rage, as they rejoiced. They had built a specific cell for Him in hell, where He would burn with them, believing He would never see light again. They made Him a public spectacle.
The Lord of lords became a captive to the Angel of death and hell. He was led down the pit. But before they could go any further, alas, they heard a rumbling at the entrance gate to hell. Great light descended into the darkest and gloomiest place of the universe. Maybe they thought another one was coming down to them. Alas, they heard a decree from above. They heard the Voice of the One who made all beings – the Father of all spirits. They understood His Voice. What was this all about? they might have wondered.
Did He sin on earth? Give a proof that He deserved death. Did He come here because He sinned? There was silence in the bottomless pit. In the same victorious command of the Most High, Free Him! Let Him go!
The power of the Satanic kingdom snapped off of Him. Though he came in bruised, brutalized, and bound in the spirit, His Father freed Him. He did not deserve to die. He was not a sinner. For a soul that sins shall die, be it physical and eternal. Ezekiel 18:20. Satan forgot to consider the fact that Jesus was in constant contact with the Heavenly Father while on earth. He never sinned.
“None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”1 Corinthians 2:8 (NKJV).
The Spirit of God groaned with great power. He descended in all the power of the Father to exert righteous judgment. He is fair in justice. The judgment between darkness and Light.
Did Jesus sin or not? The videos of His life on earth might have been brought and played before the Satanic Rulers in the darkest theater of hell. See for yourself! They played and replayed. And suddenly, the one-third of the evil beings that rebelled against the Most High at the beginning of ages began to look at one another in perplexity. Their wings dropped. The corrupt Cherub looked left and right. He might have yelled in agony (for the Bible says he goes about like a roaring lion), Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! He had not sinned on earth. Who deceived me?
Satan is a father of lies. His followers are. His cohorts are. He was deceived by himself and his cohorts. I beg thee in the name of God, do not be a child of the Devil. Get his filthy influence off your life. Did you hear me?
(For) “He (Satan) was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”John 8:44 (NKJV).
His cohorts all speak from their resources to lie. They have no truth in them. Don’t be like him.
They might have yelled – We have Him here. That’s all that matters! No, you don’t idiots! He had committed no sins! He is one with the God! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. James 2:19.
The evil tree can never produce righteous fruits. They knew the Almighty had beaten them with His wisdom – His manifold wisdom.
Let’s bind Him with eternal chains! They might have argued.
Nooooooooooooooooooooo! You cannot. The law of the spirit of death is that a soul that sins must die. There is no sin on Him while on earth.
Why is He here then? We saw curses, sins, sicknesses, and diseases on Him as He descended.
Yes, but not for His action on earth. Someone put them on Him on the cross. Did you notice anything like that?
I don’t know!

THE PLAN
Yes! That was right! The Father put them on Him. He carried all our sins from the day of Adam and Eve till eternity and laid them on Him. Isaiah 53:4 said. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, though He was without sin on earth. He put poverty on Him, though He wasn’t poor on earth.
“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV).
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9 (NKJV).
He laid curses that we were supposed to get on Jesus as He hung on the cross.
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.”Galatians 3:13 (NKJV).
Though Jesus wasn’t sick on earth, the Heavenly Father laid sickness and diseases on Him.
“That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”Matthew 8:17 (NKJV).
Whose curses, sins, poverty, sickness, and diseases were all these? The demons might have yelled. Let’s wait and see! That might be the response of their evil boss.
THE TRIUMPH
The Spirit responded for He had seen the travail of His soul and by this claim of justice many are now justified, for “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we were healed.”Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24.
He had carried their curses on the cross. Let your hands off Him! Hallelujah! By the reason of His sacrifice and obedience to the Father on High,
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth (in hell),and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”Philippians 2:9 (NKJV).
HIS NAME IS JESUS
At the declaration of judgment, all powers in hell went on their knees in obeisance to the One that just conquered them – the Lord Jesus. All knees bowed. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah rose in power. He bound them in chains and dragged them all across the streets of hell from the highest-ranking Satanic beings to the lowest. Their wings were clipped. He dragged them naked on the streets of hell. The Bible says so.
“He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets.” Colossians 2:15 (Message version).
All inhabitants of hell beheld the humiliation of Satan and his cohorts. The Lord Jesus came down as a Lamb sacrificed, yet He rose as a Lion. He made an open show of them in their own territory. He triumphed over them. And He did not stop there. He demanded the keys of life and death from Satan. He collected them!
He said in Revelations 1:18 that, “I am the living One. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.”

The decree was made to all in heaven, on earth and beneath the earth, including principalities and powers, the rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in heavenly places, THAT:
- Anyone who believes Him is redeemed from the curse of the law.Galatians 3:13.
- At the name of Jesus every knee must bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of the Father.Philippians 2:9.
- Whoever shall call on the name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved.Romans 10:13.
- He was wounded for our transgression and bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was laid on Him.Isaiah 53:5.
- Whosoever believes in Him is now henceforth raised with Him.Ephesians 2:6.
- There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Him.Romans 8:1.
- For humanity’s sake, sin was laid on Him that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ.2 Corinthians 5:21.
- By His stripes we were healed.1 Peter 2:24.
The King of glory rose from hell in triumph on the third day. He rose from physical and eternal death. And whosoever believes that He did all these for him or her shall be saved; shall inherit life, blessing, health, riches, and above all, eternal fellowship with the Father of all spirits.
Heaven rejoiced as the King of kings ascended from hell. The angels burst into singing. The Lamb of God had paid the ultimate price for our sins. And whosoever shall believe in his or her heart that Jesus is Lord and shall confess with his or her mouth shall be saved. Romans 10:10.
HAVE YOU MADE YOUR CHOICE?
There is physical death but there is also eternal, spiritual death afterward. You can be saved from eternal death – that is, eternal separation from God. Why will you go through life with so much suffering or riches and yet still lose your soul in hell? It is not worth it. It is not God’s will that a man or woman should spend eternity there. Neither is it His intention that you should backslide and never return to Him. The Lord is calling on you to come back to Him. He died for you. He loves you with everlasting love. No matter how far you have gone from Him, He is not condemning you. Just come back to Him in repentance like the prodigal son. Just come back to your Maker. With love, He will receive you. The place to run to when you have sinned is God. Don’t hide away like Adam and Eve. There is forgiveness in His blood. He is a loving Father.
1 John 1: 9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Just tell Him, Father, I am sorry I have done all this. Forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I believe that Jesus is Lord. Amen!
YOU ARE NOT DOOMED
Back to my friends that have not decided to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, let me tell you over and over again that Christ has redeemed you from consequences of sins, ONLY IF YOU BELIEVE THAT. All you have read above points to the eternal truth that Jesus did it for all mankind. Your responsibility is to believe and confess it. You must believe that. And you must confess it. Don’t let the devil rob you of what belongs to you. From that day till eternity, the angels are singing, bowing down to the Lamb on the throne, saying “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world.” You are not doomed if only you are in Christ. What are you waiting for?

I Want Him Now
Friends, your Maker does not want you to be cast into the lake of fire. He wants you to make a decision not to go there. Don’t go there! It is not meant for you. God has made provision for your sins – past, present and future. First, you need to know that He came, lived, died and rose from death after paying the ultimate price for all mankind’s sins. He paid it all. Salvation is now free, but you must act. If you do not acknowledge that He did it and accept Him as your Saviour, you cannot escape the consequences of sins, nor access the benefits of salvation. If you reject him as your Savior, you will meet Him afterlife as a Judge of all you did on earth. Don’t procrastinate. Accept Him willingly into your heart through a solemn confession of Him as Lord and Saviour over your life henceforth. He will not force you. Now if you “feel” in your heart like “I want Jesus.”
If your heart is nudging you, “I’m sorrowful for all that I have done. I want to come back to God.” You are almost there. Don’t listen to that voice telling you It is not true. Remember, He came for you. He died for you. He suffered for you. He conquered for you. He rose for you. He is with God now for you. There is no other way by which a man or woman can be saved from eternal judgment except through Jesus. Except through accepting Him as your Lord and Savior. You cannot save yourself. No, you cannot! Your good works cannot either. In eternity, if you stand before Him proclaiming your good deeds as a strong reason to be saved and gained eternal rest, your heart will tell you, You are still a sinner before Him. Now is the day that you can sincerely and boldly in the privacy of your room or wherever you are, come to Him now and accept Him.

BELIEVE AND CONFESS
You only need to believe all you have been reading and confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and Saviour. I believe you are ready. Read aloud to yourself the sentence below and believe it in your heart. Because God says, “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10.
Lord Jesus, I believe in my heart all You did for me. I believe that You came in the flesh, lived, and died for my sins. You blotted out my sins with Your blood. You rose and forever living at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Thank You for doing all this for me. Thank You for forgiving me of all my sins. You are now my Lord and my Savior. Thank you, Father. I am born again. And from this day, my life is now lived according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
That is it! You will know deep inside you that you now have peace with God. You are now born again. It is supernatural. With your confession and faith in God, He has deposited His Holy Spirit in you. You are now in the Kingdom of God. No more with Satan. Glory be to God!
The Bible says in Colossians 1:13 (NLT) that,
“For He has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His dear Son”
Glory be to God! You are no longer in the kingdom of Satan! You are no longer a child of Satan. You are now supernaturally in the Kingdom of Jesus. Just like that?Yes! Just like that.
You no longer have the generational curses! You are free from curses because Galatians 3:13 says,
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.”
The “us” in that scripture now includes you! Do you know what else happened to you since you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? You were raised from death!

You Are Raised From Death
Yes, you have been raised from death. The born-again experience is the same as being raised from death. Raised from spiritual separation from God. Prior to now, you could not talk to God as a Father, nor commune with Him in your heart. You just got raised from death! Let me explain with scriptures for you.
Ephesians 1:17 to 20: Amplified Classic translation says,
“And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power IN and FOR US who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Himat His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places]…”
That immeasurable, unlimited and surpassing great power of God is in us and for us who believe. That power can raise the dead in the same way it raised the Lord Jesus from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of the Father right now. Yes, that power can raise the dead. That same power revived your spirit and made you to become alive to God.
I believe according to the scripture above that the greatest working of God’s power is when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand. You and I have the power in us and for us. And I believe that same power just raised you from spiritual death into life right now. Yes, it did!

Let me tell you a story similar to your born-again experience.
A DEAD YOUNG MAN RAISED TO LIFE
There was this 24-year-old young man that came for a job interview as a security guard. He could barely grasp English, so we had to communicate in pidgin English. After I had decided I would take him, I extended the conversation to know his position in God. I believe “it is the Lord that causes me both to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13). I asked, “Do you know Jesus?” He paused for a while and sincerely replied, “I no know. I no know how to say.” I was shocked and desperately ready to tell Him about the Lord.
Oh, what a joy to tell Him who Jesus is! What a joy flowing through my heart! I prayed in my heart, “Lord Jesus, come and reveal Yourself to him now.”
I took time to explain to him who Jesus is and what He came to do for mankind – just as I did in previous chapters. By the time I was done and I asked him if he wanted to accept Jesus into his life, he replied “Yes”.
In a moment, the one that knew no Jesus did not only accept Him but he was also filled with the Holy Ghost and started speaking in diverse tongues. I didn’t say he was blabbing in tongues. He was speaking in diverse tongues. He was also healed instantly. The Lord Jesus stepped into his heart to become his Lord and Saviour. And His healer. The Father was glorified. The Holy Spirit filled him. What a wondrous Lord! Glory be to Him in the highest! The life that knew no Christ, received His life and his face was lit.
Here is what it is. The young man was dead spiritually. He did not know who Jesus was. A few minutes later, his spirit was revived. He was raised from spiritual death which is the worst death of mankind since Adam sinned. He came alive unto God just as you are now. Jesus became his Lord and Saviour. He was filled with the Holy Spirit.
What made all that possible? The power of His resurrection. The exceeding greatness of God’s power. His mighty power. The same power that raised Christ from both physical and spiritual death, raised that young man from his spiritual death.
Did you read that? I’m screaming that into you! He was dead spiritually. God’s power raised him from death. God’s exceeding great power that made Christ seated in the heavenly at the right hand of God the Father also made that young man be seated with Christ from the moment he accepted Christ into his heart!

It’s not spectacular to ordinary eyes but it’s supernatural! It’s no big deal (you may think) but it was to the Father! It was to Jesus! It was to the Holy Spirit. Things were happening in the spirit realm when that young man’s spirit was being revived by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. The mighty power of God raised him. It was supernatural. Angels were rejoicing in heaven at the moment he came alive unto God.
O Lord, open our eyes to see You more and more! To see the mighty working of Your great power in us and toward us that believe!
What joy does a spiritually dead individual who is physically living bring to God? What a tragedy to be without God! What agony!
The greatest working of God’s power is in us. When I saw this in operation in hopeless people whom the Lord revived their spirits and filled with His Spirit, I marveled. I saw it! I saw it!! I saw that power in operation. It wasn’t spectacular but supernatural. It was and is real. He changes the dejected, the sorrowful, the barren, the outcast, and the afflicted into joyous and spirit-filled believers in Christ! He heals the sick! He illuminates the minds of men and women to seek God. He directs our steps toward Him. He sets the solitary in the family. Psalm 68:6. Yes, He does! He gives hope and a future to everyone that seeks Him. He is rich in mercy and goodness. He never leaves nor forsakes us. He is with us at all times.
You too have the power in you! You can do it! Go out there! Step out in faith and see the Lord Jesus raise the dead in front of you! I have seen it. It works!
Get off the jolly ride and let the Lord use you to do great and supernatural things! If He chooses to do the spectacular, fine. But the supernatural is awesome. Blessed are you when you see the supernatural happen. As a child of God, our life is supernatural. The spirit in you is indwelt by the Spirit of God. That is supernatural. You are supernatural, even if you are unable to recognize it.
The Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul emphasized it in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV): “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

New Life
The old sinful nature of you died. Dead to the sting of death which is sin! Dead to vices of this world. Dead to the lust of the flesh; the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Dead to your own will that is not aligned with God’s.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV).

You are a new creation. Walk in the new life that Jesus has given you. It is supernatural! Don’t turn to the left. The old sinful habits have no power over you anymore, except you yield to them. Please don’t! They have no power over you anymore. The old me is gone. Likewise, the old you should be gone. The Word of God says in Romans 6:12 – 14 (AMPC):
“12 Let not sin therefore rule as king in your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies, to make you yield to its cravings and be subject to its lusts and evil passions.
13 Do not continue offering or yielding your bodily members [and faculties] to sin as instruments (tools) of wickedness. But offer and yield yourselves to God as though you have been raised from the dead to [perpetual] life, and your bodily members [and faculties] to God, presenting them as implements of righteousness.
14 For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God’s favor and mercy].”
You have power over sin! When that sinful thoughts start brewing in your mind, you scream out loud “I reject that thoughts in the name of Jesus! I shall not yield to sin in Jesus name!”
That, I tell you, is one of the approaches to overcome wicked thoughts. If your mind is not thinking about it, you can’t act it out in real life. Take hold of your thoughts with God’s Word. In Christ Jesus, follow the new path. Forsake the gathering, the habits and things that make you vulnerable to the sinful lifestyle.
Remember that the Holy Spirit of God is now within you. That makes you and I supernatural. Glory be to God! Romans 8:11 (NKJV) says:
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
The Lord Jesus said in John 14:17 (NKJV) that:
“…the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”
The Spirit of God dwells in you to guide you into all truth. Don’t say Amen to that. It’s not a prayer! It is what Jesus said in John 16: 13 to 14 (NKJV):
“13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”
Now, let me tell you something. No matter how long you have been in Christ. Don’t you be street-smart about it! The Holy Spirit is there to always guide us into all truth. He is to lead you and I.
Romans 8:14 (NIV) echoes it:“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”
Furthermore, the Holy Spirit brings God’s Word to life within us because the new “You” is born of the Word of God which is incorruptible.
Friends, I tell you by the authority of the Word of God in 1 Peter 1:23 that:
“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, BUT of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.” NIV version
The God’s words that you have been reading from the beginning of this book till now are living and enduring. The Lord Jesus said in John 6:63 that His words are spirit and they are life. The written and spoken Word of God gives life. The life in God’s words enter into us to give us life. The words mold and change our minds from corrupt ways to the God’s ways. The Word of God corrects and straightens us from the inside out, causing us to give up all sinful works.
It keeps our new nature alive unto God. Don’t you resurrect that old nature. Don’t you dare go after a sinful lifestyle! Don’t go about living in sin as before. Hear this:
“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,”Romans 6:8.

Did you read that? I died with the Lord Jesus! So did you. Glory! And I’m alive in Him! So are you! I’m over death. And you are too. Well, you can scoff at it like, “Who the hell does he think he is?”
Let me demystify your thinking with the verse below:
“…knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.”Romans 6:9-10 (NKJV).
Did you read that? If you didn’t see it, please go back and read it again. Let it sink. Christ dies no more. I no longer die spiritually because I died with Him and am now alive in Him. That includes you if you are genuinely born-again.
That’s my M.O! That should be yours too. Oh, by the way, I mean Modus Operandi.
I’m alive unto God! I’m alive to righteousness. Alive to virtue! Alive to the fruit of the spirit. So are you. His life is in me and in you. His divine nature is in me! And in you also. Did you get that? Okay, I will give you a scripture for that. Turn to 2 Peter 1: 2 – 4 in Amplified Bible Classic Edition (AMPC):
“2 May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that[are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).
4 By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.”
Glory be to God! Did you read that? You have the divine nature of God in you! That is why you are now a new creation. When scripture says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new,” that new creation refers to the divine nature of God (2 Peter 1:4) that got transferred into you when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. It is spiritual. It is supernatural. You just simply received the divine nature of God in you. That nature makes you righteous before God. You are now a child of God! You have His nature inside you!
ALIVE UNTO GOD
You are now dead to sin and awake unto righteousness. Alive unto God! Alive to righteousness. Alive to virtue! Alive to the fruit of the spirit.
You can now scream, The Godhead dwells in me! Oh Lord, bring it all over me! Fill me everyday with Your fullness! Fill me till eternity. To be lost in You, my Maker, my Master, my Saviour! Oh, eternity! The fullness of God. The limitless, immeasurable, and surpassing presence of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The fullness of God dwells in you and I. Oh, I desire His fullness. Nothing but the fullness. Get me drunk with Your Holy Spirit till I thirst no more, floating under Your glory; under the power of the ages to come; the awesome brightness of Your glory. Your majesty! Your pleasure! Let it prosper in my hands to the glory of Your Name. Your Majesty on high. My Father!!! I want nothing but Your fullness!
That should be your hunger daily towards Him. You must want it. Oh! Don’t settle for less. There’s more in Him. The fullness of God manifests the manifold nature of the Eternal Being, the Father of our Lord Jesus!
I’m already talking about what to expect in Him. But,I don’t want to jump ahead of you. As a new creation in God, we must continue in good works. We all are new creation, irrespective of how long we have been in Christ Jesus. You never outgrow the new creation status. There is nothing like an older new creation. Stop it! Don’t you think you have outgrown that new creation status, except you have denied Christ.
As a new creation, there are practices that are good to follow. I will share them in the next chapter.

Next Steps
We are a new creation in Christ Jesus. Old sinful lifestyle must go. We must allow the life of Christ to show forth in us. Don’t hide Jesus in your life. Don’t hide Him in front of your friends, families and acquaintances. Talk about Him. Don’t be afraid they will judge or mock you. You are on a journey into God – nobody ever arrives while on this earth. It is a step by step walk with Him.

Keep walking towards the high calling of God in your life. You are a child of God, now in the Kingdom of God. You are not a child of the devil. You are in Christ and all things are new to you. It is the beginning of a new chapter. You are now righteous in God. You are no longer a sinner by nature. Nor a slave to sin. You are a child of God.
WHAT YOU MUST DO CONSTANTLY
Please find a Bible-believing church and go there. Pray in your heart that God directs you to one and when you get there, tell them you just accepted Christ as your Lord and Saviour and you will like to go through a new believer foundation class to learn more about Jesus and your rights as a child of God.
“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (New Living Translation).
For you who has been on this journey for a while, continue in the fellowship of the brethren. You can never outgrow fellowship. God’s words encourage us in Hebrews 10:25 (NKJV):
“not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Secondly, as a new believer, you need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. Because you need the power of the Holy Spirit to be in you so that you can stand against Satan and his cohorts with the authority and power of Jesus Christ.
The Lord Jesus said so in Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” Don’t let the devil or any man tells you it is in the past. No way! It hasn’t! It is the trick of the enemy to cheat you of your inheritance.

Don’t you believe his lies anymore. Don’t you let him make you believe any lies. You tell him to his face as in Colossians 1:13 that says “God has rescued you from the kingdom of darkness and transferred you into the Kingdom of His dear Son.” Replace the “you” with your name. Bring it home to yourself. Read the scripture again with your name in it.
Let me give you another one in Ephesians 2:1 to 10 (NKJV) that says:
“1And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.4 BUT GOD, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Think about that always. That is the truth. Believe it. Because you are alive to God, it becomes challenging to follow the trends of this world; you now have the ability to oppose the devil’s influence that tempts people to do evil; and you mortify the evil deeds of the flesh.
For you who have been previously born again, the above scripture is also for you and I. Continue to walk in the paths of the Lord. You are His workmanship. Verse ten of the above scripture says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” That “we” now includes you. From now on, the work you do will be that good works which God prepared beforehand for you to work in them. Period! No more wasteful lifestyle like the prodigal son. You are back on track! You are now back to your Maker, God the Father! Glory be to God!!
I’m going to include some more passages about your heritage as a child of God:
- Anyone who believes Him is redeemed from the curse of the law.Galatians 3:13.
- At the name of Jesus every knee must bow in heaven, on earth and in hell, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of the Father.Philippians 2:9. Jesus said in John 14:14, “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”. He said so. Start addressing your prayer requests to Him in His name.
- Whoever shall call on the name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved.Romans 10:13. You have called on His name and you are now saved. Glory be to God!
- He was wounded for our transgression and bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was laid on Him.Isaiah 53:5. You are no longer to carry the consciousness of sin in your heart. If devil or anyone or even your mind tells you otherwise, scream this scripture loud, He was wounded for my transgression and bruised for my iniquities. I have peace because of Him! Continue to remind yourself of this.
- There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Him.Romans 8:1. When the enemy tries to remind you of your past sinful life, shout him down and declare boldly, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, I’m in Christ Jesus now. I am no longer under condemnation. Christ has paid the price for my sins. I’m redeemed with the precious blood of Jesus.
- Whosoever believes in Him is now henceforth raised with Him.Ephesians 2:6. Glory be to God! I’m raised with Christ. I’m seated with Him spiritually.
- For humanity’s sake, sin was laid on Him that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ.2 Corinthians 5:21. Yes! Always say it to yourself, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am not a sinner. I’m a child of God. I’m righteous because God made me so.
- By His stripes we were healed.1 Peter 2:24. Oh my, oh my! When the devil sends indications of sickness close to you, or your mind is playing tricks on you, or you are beginning to sense symptoms of sickness, you can declare boldly, By Jesus stripes on the cross I was healed. I was healed by Him over two thousand years again. Since His word says I was healed, so I am healed and I remain healed. Sickness, I command you to go out of my body in the name of Jesus. Say it and don’t doubt. It is what the Lord Jesus has done for you and I. Affirm it.
Before I round up this chapter, let me share with you one of the spiritual weapons (in addition to God’s words) that the Lord Jesus gave us before He left the earth.
That is His Name
He said in Mark 16: 17 – 18, “And these signs will follow those who believe: IN MY NAME they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
In John 14:13 – 14, Jesus said “And whatever you ask IN MY NAME, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything IN MY NAME, I will do it.”
Apostle Paul brought another revelation of the name to us by the Holy Spirit in Philippians 2:9 – 11:
“9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Did you read that? Therefore, the name of Jesus is for believers to ask the Father anything in Jesus name. We are to use the name of Jesus to:
- Cast out demons
- Speak in new tongues
- Lay hands on the sick and they recover
- Tread upon demonic powers
- Place a demand on Jesus to do something for you
Step out in faith and take authority in the name of Jesus to do all of the above.
In conclusion, whether you are a new believer or have been in Christ for a while, there is a good practice that we can adopt or continue in:
- Through the Holy Spirit, draw closer to Jesus. Always ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus and the Father to you.
- Spend time to study the Bible. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the Father to you in the words. Get a yearly reading plan and follow it through. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand. Let me tell you something: reading the Bible daily is like taking a supplement tablet. God’s words are medicine to our spirit and soul. Proverbs 4:20 -23 says, “My son, pay attention to my words and be willing to learn; Open your ears to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; Keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, And healing and health to all their flesh. Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.” Take it daily. If you don’t want to complete the entire yearly reading plan, begin with the New Testament. Simply reading will help you develop God consciousness. In no time, you will begin to sense the presence of the Holy Spirit in you. There is an endless experience on that journey. Start today.
- Pray constantly in tongues to edify yourself (1 Corinthians 14:4); to speak mystery to God directly (1 Corinthians 14:2); to pray the accurate will of God into your life and others (Romans 8:26), and so on.
- Associate with believers who are passionate about God, but also balanced in their walk with Him.Proverbs 13:20 says, “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” You won’t suffer harm in Jesus name. But choose wisely who you make your friends.
- Ensure to read and listen to a lot of anointed Christian materials. 2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT) says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”
- Be willing to let the Holy Spirit lead you. Romans 8:14. Reading God’s words will show you the will of God. Praying in tongues to seek direction will allow your spirit to commune with the Holy Spirit concerning a matter. Be open to His leading.
- Don’t give God a recess of your time. Dedicate yourself to Him. Seek Him at all times, and you will find Him.
Let me tell you a little secret that will help you study the Word of God: whenever you read books like this with a lot of scripture cited, make sure you open your Bible and read each text. You are putting God’s word into your mind and spirit by doing so. Don’t get too comfortable reading it from the book without opening your Bible. Take notes on what the Holy Spirit reveals to you in your spirit. That is one method of increasing one’s knowledge of God. That also makes you to grow in grace: 2 Peter 1:2 says so, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord…”
I genuinely believe that reading this book has blessed you. We give God all the glory for His words that never fall to the earth. He always keeps an eye on His words to ensure that they do what they are supposed to do. Because you are the product of that Word, your future is assured. You shall progress from grace to grace, strength to strength. You will triumph in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen!
Stay blessed. Jesus is Lord!
